

She was born June 16, 1923 in Nelson County, daughter of the late Herman and Sarah Hawsie Truslow Anderson.
Mrs. Orman was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and was retired from ConAgra.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Mason Claude Ward; her second husband, Harold “Pappy” Orman; one grandson, Chad Randolph Thompson; sisters, Elvery Hutchenson, Christie Crowe, Eunice Smith; brothers, Rudolph, Gene and Charles Anderson and a son-in-law Randy Thompson.
Survivors include her children, Eddie Orman and wife, Sherry of South Hill, Harold Orman Jr. and wife Joyce of Afton, Buddy C. Ward and wife Phyllis of Waynesboro, Carolyn Orman Vanderveer and husband Charlie of Afton, Judy Orman Critzer and husband Dennis of Lowesville and Teresa Orman Thompson of Afton; one sister, Gwen Honnoll of Waynesboro; thirteen grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro.
A service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 in Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Embrey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
