

He was born on January 15, 1930, in Augusta County, son of the late George W. and Agnes Craig Fisher.
Mr. Fisher was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church where he had been an Elder and Deacon. He retired in 1985 from the Waynesboro DuPont Plant after 35 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Wayne Fisher; sisters, Betty Morris, Marie Coleman and an infant sister, Geraldine Fisher.
He is survived by his wife, Nora L. Fisher of 63 years; one son, Bobby Lynn Fisher and his wife, Kim, of Omaha, Nebraska; two daughters, Connie Samples and her husband, Jeff, of Stuarts Draft, and Barbara Bruton of North Carolina; one sister, Gladys "Sissy" Morris of Fishersville; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Will Heyward officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Fisher, Derek Coffey, Nick Kight, Randy Ross, Barry Hooker and Terry Rohr.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzeimers Association, 2040 DeYerle Avenue, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 or a charity of your choice .
