Robert Paul Bishop

Born November 20, 1963 in Staunton, he was a son of the late Hobert Bishop and Gladys Lorraine (Himes) Sanford.

He worked as a labor in Construction for many years.

Mr. Bishop was loved by all he met at Alleghany Health and Rehab. He was a quiet man, who loved to watch westerns and football. When the weather was nice, you would find Mr. Bishop out in the courtyard sitting in the sun drinking his Mountain Dew.

Mr. Bishop was baptized by Pastor Chris Fischer at Alleghany Health and Rehab.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Ann Hite; brother, Clifford Glenn Bishop; stepfather, Robert “Red” Sanford.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Alleghany Health and Rehab Activities Department.
