Dr. Fischer was born in Buffalo, New York to Allen and Dorthea Fischer on January 27, 1939. He married Cynthia Clardy on September1, 1962. He worked as a Physician in Waynesboro for many years. He served in the Army.

Ronald Fischer is survived by Allen John Fischer, Beth Fischer, Eric Fischer, Allison Fischer, Kristianna Luce and Marc Luce, Jewel Graner, and Joe Graner.
A private graveside service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crimora, VA.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Bethany Lutheran Church.
