

He was born December 2, 1938 in Clarksville, a son of the late Clarence C. and Elizabeth Young Virgin.
He attended Jefferson High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.
On April 9, 1963 he married Joan Howard Virgin who passed away August 2, 2010.
Mr. Virgin was a retired coal miner for Gateway Coal Company.
He was amember of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg. He was a member of American Legion Post 400 in Carmichaels and was a Past Assistant District Commander. He was also a Past Commander of American Legion Post 954 in Jefferson.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman; and a member of the And Others Hunting Camp.
Surviving are two sons, Kevin Virgin and Brian Virgin (Tina) both of Waynesburg; a daughter Sandy Jo Virgin of Jefferson; 7 grandchildren, Hannah, Lauren, Benjamin, Abigail, Logan, Marissa, and Cameron; 2 great-grandsons, Chase and Tucker; 2 brothers James Virgin and Ronald Virgin both of Vermilion, OH; 5 sisters, his twin sister, Carol Wells of Vermilion, OH, Joan Steinmiller of Jefferson, Nancy Gray of Spencer, OH, Judy Virgin of Vermilion, OH, Cindy Stewart of Lodi, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are 4 sisters, Jean Policz, Marilyn Dillinger, Lois Eaton, and Ruth Virgin; and 3 brothers, Clarence Virgin Jr., Robert Virgin, and William Virgin.
Private arrangements are being handled by Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, private services will be held in The First Christian Church in Waynesburg followed by interment in Jefferson Cemetery with graveside military honors by American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The National Parkinson Foundation www.parkinson.org , A.L.S.
