

Correan J. Stewart, 71, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania passed into the hands of God on April 25, 2025. She was born on February 27, 1954 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Marquetia and Pete Stewart. Correan was a lifelong resident of Greene County.
A trailblazer in her time, she was among the first women to work in the coal mining industry, spending years at Cumberland Mine in Kirby. Her love for horses defined much of her life, as she served as President and member of the Horseman's Association of Greene County. A proud Democrat and dedicated public servant, she contributed to her community as a Township Supervisor for Washington Township. Beyond her professional and civic roles, Correan was an avid deer hunter, always eager to share stories of her adventurous hunts.
She will be deeply missed by her housemates, Nancy Koenig and Susan Sargut, as well as her Brothers: David (Carol) Stewart, Rodman (Tammy) Stewart and Brett (Tina) Stewart. Her niece Ashley Stewart, grand-niece Kallie and many other nieces and cousins will forever cherish her memory.
There will be visitation held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May, 1, 2025 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers-Director where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025 with Pastor Keith Rishell officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of one's choice, honoring her generous spirit.
