Cindy and Chuck, my heartfelt condolences go out to you. I don't have to tell you what a very gracious and special lady your mother was.  She had been my best friend for many years.  Viewing the pictures of your mom and dad I know you have many good memories of them.  I cherish the times I had with your mother and your father. They were two of the wisest people I knew in many ways.  Dwanda was such a loving and caring  person. And your mom loved her Lord very much. I am privileged to have been a witness of that. May God comfort you and give you His peace in the coming days, months, and years.  I pray for you as your mother did.  Thank you to Laree for calling me.

My heartfelt condolences to Cindy, Chuck, and other family members. I am so sorry for your loss of your dear mother. She was a very dear friend to me for almost 45 years. A very special lady, and one of the Godliest women I have known.  May God give you His comfort and peace at this time. 

My heart breaks for anyone who did not have the good fortune to have known Dwanda Burack and be touched by her love.  She stood in the gap for me when my life's path was unclear, and I had the pleasure of seeing her eyes opened to places, experiences, and ideas.  She loved her children each in his or her own way, and she loved her husband with her heart open and forgiving.  Without any consciousness of it, she served as an example of how to love and extend kindness and understanding to allnot only to those who we feel akin to.  She and Chuck welcomed me into their family, like they did so many others, and I am grateful.

May all those who knew Dwanda, including me, live their lives in a way that would make her smile.

I didn't have many ooportunities to spend time with Dwanda over the years, but her joy in the simple things of life, her unfailing kindness, and her love for her family are qualities that drew me to her.  She understood her life as one of service to her fellows and  she fulfilled that charge with grace and compassion. I regret not having been able to know her better.

Dwanda was an amazing woman who never lost her sense of joy and wonder in life. She was also a loving mother to her daughter Cindy. I shall miss her sense of humor and her incredible kindness.

Dear Cindy, Chuck, and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. No matter how old we are, we will always feel too young to be without our mother. Your mother, like mine, lost her own mother at a young age; we were fortunate to have our mothers for so many years - but we still want more. I was privileged to know your mom and to spend time with her. I learned from her the great importance, value, gift of yielding to joy in even the simplest and smallest and - this is important - recurring pleasures in life, like a cup of Starbucks shared with loved ones. She had access to joy like no one I've ever known. May we all learn from her gift.

Dwanda Burack was a kind, hospitable, resilient, and hard-working woman who achieved amazing things in her life.  I will always admire her.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dwanda.I love her so much..she was tops in all she did..her and chuck are back together again in heaven...Will be missed...from brenda Franks and family..

Dwanda was a loving, kind  and caring person.  I will always remember the times she came to visit me here at Villas of Arden Mills.  We always had good times at our socials and anytime I would see her in the community.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.  Pat Olczak (Villas of Arden Mills)

Dwanda was the kindest sweetest lady I had the pleasure to know. Many hours of conversation with Dawanda at the Jefferson Baptist Church. She will be missed by many.
