

Elizabeth Edith Painter Lohr, 66 of Mount Morris, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 11, 2015 in her home with her loving family at her side after a year and a half long battle with cancer.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV on July 21, 1948, the eldest daughter of Edith J. Mosier of Camden, SC and the late Clifford H. Painter. Elizabeth attended Escambia High School in Pensacola, FL, where she spent most of her childhood years. After meeting and marrying Lloyd, she resided in Greene County.
Mrs. Lohr attended Waynesburg Bible Chapel and was active in CBM Ministries. She spent many hours working at the Cornerstone Ministry Center. As a homemaker she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, crafting, and attending her grandchildren’s events. She made two mission trips with Hands and Feet Ministry traveling to Guatemala. She was an auxiliary member of the Greene County Gideons.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Lloyd M. Lohr of Mount Morris, Pa., She is also survived by her son, Robert L. Lohr and his wife Alesha of Harrodsburg, KY; two daughters, Cheryl R. Lohr and Kristi L. Stephenson wife of Robert Stephenson both of Waynesburg, Pa; siblings, Gloria Hodges of Wyconda, MO, Darla Hasty (Loren) of Peoria, IL, Charlene Gilmore (Ronnie)of Pensacola, FL, Charles Painter of Camden, SC, Penny Brown (Larry) of Camden, SC, Linda Springer of Pensacola, FL, and Terry Jo Jackson (Darrell) of Macon, GA; sister-in-law, Linda Hickman of Waynesburg; grandchildren, Melissa Jody (Jason) of Corbin, KY, Jessica Broyles (Josh) of Lexington, KY, Kaylee Lohr, Clayton Lohr, and Kelci Pittman of Harrodsburg, KY, Madison Gray and Maci Gray both of Waynesburg, and Caleb Stephenson, Nathaniel Stephenson, Sara Stephenson, and Jacob Stephenson all of Waynesburg, Pa. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Addelyn and Landon Jody, and Aiden Bierman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother Clifford H. Painter Jr. and her father and mother-in-law, Fred and Frances Henderson Lohr.
Her husband and family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, Ruby Memorial Hospital, Amedisys Hospice Care of Masontown, and her wonderful church family at Waynesburg Bible Chapel for their constant support. The family would also like to thank anyone who provided prayers, food, cards, phone calls, and visits during this difficult time. She was blessed to have so much care and love from so many.
Friends will be received 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 15, 2015 with Rev. Larry A. Douglas officiating followed by burial in Fairall Cemetery, Whiteley Township.
