He was born March 20, 1937 at Nineveh, a son of the late Homer L. and Elizabeth Gunn Day.
Mr. Day was a graduate of West Greene High School.
He worked for the Carnegie Natural Gas Company at Waynesburg for 29 years. He had also worked for seven years for Center Township. He served as a deputy game protector for the Pennsylvania Game Commission, for 10 years.
Mr. Day was a life Member of the Waynesburg Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 757.
Surviving is a brother, Happy L. Day of Waynesburg; three nieces Sue Day Stewart of Graysville, Barbara Day of Allentown, and Bonnie Day of Brockport, N.Y.; and several great- nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are four brothers, Harley, Kermit, Dale, and Vance Day.
