George W. Powell, Jr.

 He was born Friday, July 22, 1938 in Spraggs. He was a son of the late George W. Powell, Sr. and Mildred Snyder Powell.

             Mr. Powell enjoyed gardening and working on his farm. When he was 15 he started his own dairy farm and worked on his dairy farm for 56 years.  

 He is survived by Letha Teagarden Powell, whom he married on December 23, 1958.

 Also surviving are 1 Daughter: Deborah (Douglas) Walls, of Waynesburg, PA, 1 Son: Richard (Misty) Powell, of Spraggs, PA, 4 Grandchildren: Grant Curfman, Garrett Curfman, Brandon Powell, and Dustin Powell, 1 Step Granddaughter: Alyssa Walls, 2 Sisters: Nancy Phillips, of Spraggs, PA, and Sue Jones, of Morgantown, WV, 1 Brother: Don Powell, of Spraggs, PA, and several nieces and nephews.

 Deceased is 1 Brother: Jim Powell
