Helen L. Herrington age 84 of Waynesburg died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in the Golden Living Center in Waynesburg. She was born December 11, 1928 at Kirby, a daughter of the late Willis E. and Agnes Conway John.
Mrs. Herrington was a retired operating room technician at Greene County Memorial Hospital.
She was a lifetime resident of Kirby. Mrs. Herrington was a member of the Kirby United Methodist Church and later became a member of with Claughton Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and needlework.
Surviving are her husband, Shirl A. Herrington, whom she married October 17, 1970; two daughters, Julia Ann Moore (Gary) of Irwin and Jacqueline Barnes of Waynesburg; two step-daughters, Shirlene Snyder and Carol Lynn Kolat both of Waynesburg; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Lanham and Joan Chambers both of Dalton, Ohio.
Friends will be received 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2013 with Rev. Ron Geisler officiating followed by entombment in Greene County Memorial Park.
