Jose Del Rio Jr.

He was born February 9, 1975 in Decatur, Texas, a son of Jose Del Rio Sr. and Maria Del Socorro Del Rio both of Bowie Texas.

He was a graduate of San Diego State University and the police academy in Austin, Texas.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and had seven years of service as a Texas State Trooper.

Mr. Del Rio was the owner of PA Energy Service Company in Waynesburg and worked as a requisitions manager for Rice Energy.

He resided in Waynesburg for the past four years. He was active in several community organizations and served on the board of directors for many local groups. He was affiliated with the Greene Community Church in Waynesburg.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his step-mother, Debbie Del Rio of Bowie, TX; his fiancé, Pamela Blaker of Waynesburg; a son Gunner Del Rio of Odessa, TX; his paternal grandparents, Jose and Amelia Del Rio of Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico; two sisters, Susi Del Rio Rinck of Dallas, TX and Flor Del Rio of Houston, TX; and one brother Valentin Del Rio of Bowie, TX.

Deceased are his paternal grandparents Maria Del Refugio Calderon and Refugio Rios.

Friends will be received from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg. Friends will also be received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at White Family Funeral Home, 1418 Highway 59 North, Bowie, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at St. William Catholic Church in Montague, TX followed by burial in Hopewell Cemetery near Bowie , TX.
