Judith “Judy” Marie Streit, 78, of Waynesburg, PA, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025. Born on September 18, 1946, in New York, Judy lived a life filled with compassion, generosity, and an unwavering love for animals.
Before making Waynesburg her home, Judy worked as a stewardess, traveling the skies with grace and adventure. Her passion for helping others extended beyond people—she dedicated much of her life to caring for animals. She worked tirelessly at the Humane Society of Greene County, where her kindness and devotion touched the lives of countless animals and fellow advocates. She later managed Hidden Treasures, always bringing warmth and kindness to those around her.
Judy's love for animals was not just a passion; it was a calling. She actively supported the SPCA and numerous other organizations, offering generous donations and a helping hand whenever possible. Her legacy of compassion and care will live on in the many lives—both human and animal—that she impacted.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Marion, who cherishes the years they spent together. She will be deeply missed by her friends, colleagues, and the many people who had the privilege of knowing her.
In honor of Judy’s memory, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Greene County or the SPCA, continuing the work she held so close to her heart.
Rest in peace, Judy. Your love and kindness will never be forgotten.
