She was born on January 13, 1945, in Brave, PA to Clarence and Marie Rogers. She married Joseph L. Burgess on February 19, 1971; he preceded her in death on April 22, 2012.
She is survived by her children, Chasdity Lee (Greg), Joseph "Mojo" Burgess, Jr. (Jennifer), Veronica Vedis (Tom), Carl Vedis, William Vedis, Jr.; numerous grandchildren, including Quinton Baker, Dominique Cain, Sarah Rome, and Brittany Lee; and numerous great-grandchildren, including Olivia Littrell, Winston Rome, and Mason Howard.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Augustine; granddaughter, Christin Whateley; great-grandchild, Arthur Joseph Cain; and siblings, Ruby Phillips, Carl Rogers, and Ira Rogers.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday, March 5 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Behm Funeral Home, 182 W. High St., Waynesburg, PA 15370, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6 at 11 AM; burial to follow at Oakmont Cemetery.
