

She was born February 10, 1922 in Scenery Hill, a daughter of the late Matthew Blaine Hill and Margaret Mozella Hill.
She was a graduate of Beallsville High School.
In 1948 she married Russell Moore. She and her husband operated the Singer Sewing Center in Waynesburg from 1958 until Mr. Moore’s death in 1976. Mrs. Moore had worked for Greene Arc, Catholic Charities, and Community Action Southwest. For the past 13 years she was employed by TRIPIL Services as the caregiver for her son, Robert who suffered a stroke. She shared a special bond with her son, Robert who considered his stroke a blessing because of the time he got to spend with his loving mother.
Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Moore of Waynesburg; James D. Moore of Gaithersburg, MD; two grandchildren, Caroline Moore age 17 and Connor Moore age 12. The family extends a special thanks to Louise Bedilion and all the caretakers that helped Marian with the caretaking of her son, and for helping and being a wonderful friend.
Deceased are four siblings. Her kindness and love for life was felt by all that knew her.
Mrs. Moore enjoyed gardening and was a talented baker. She always had a wonderful sense of fashion which she displayed in her impeccable attire.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She attended the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg.
Marion’s presence made the world a better place and she will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew her.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sautrday, October 18, 2014 in theFirst Presbyterian Church, 169 West College St., Waynesburg, with Rev. William Sukolsky officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.behmfh.com .
