

He was born April 28, 1932 in Waynesburg, son of the late Milton J. and Florence Broadwater Ball.
On October 3, 1952 he married Alice Weaver Ball, who died March 12, 2009.
Mr. Ball was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Operating Engineers, Local 66, since 1964. He was known for his skill as an operator and thoroughly enjoyed his career.
He served in the U.S. Army and in Company K of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
A former resident of Mather, he lived in Waynesburg for the past 35 years.
Mr. Ball was affiliated with the Calvary Baptist Church in Lippencott. He was a member of American Legion Post 330 in Waynesburg.
Surviving are a daughter Cynthia (William) Ridout of Waynesburg; a son, Mark Ball of Waynesburg; 3 grandsons, Daniel (Katie) Ridout, Adam (Malorie) Ridout, and Will Ridout; three great-grandchildren, Vivienne, Harrison, and Elizabeth Ridout; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Scott Ball; two sisters, Dot Wagener and Freda Murray; and 4 brothers, Charles, Earl, Hiliary, and David Ball.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Nick Bardo officiating followed by interment in Fairall Cemetery in Whiteley Township with military honors by American Legion Post 330. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
