

He was born June 6, 1947 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Arthur and Ruth Widdup Tennant.
Mr. Tennant was a 1965 graduate of Waynesburg High School.
He was currently employed as a corrections officer with the Greene County Prison; prior to that he had worked at Nemacolin Coal Mine and at the J.C. Penny Credit office.
Mr. Tennant was a member of the Fairall United Methodist Church, the Waynesburg Elks Lodge B.P.O.E.# 757, the F & AM Lodge #153 of Waynesburg.
He enjoyed camping, his vegetable garden and hunting with his friends in the Winterburn Mountain Hunting Club.
On July 29, 1972 he married Monnaruth Huffman, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Michael Tennant and his wife Holly of Coraopolis; a daughter, Melanie Tennant and her companion Brad Provost of Strabane; three grandsons, Matthew, Isaac and Jacob Tennant.
Mr. Tennant was the last of his family.
Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 30th in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday October 31, 2011 with Pastor Paul Salosky and Rev.
