john and ann, i am stunned by the loss of your father.  i just found out today, august 16, 2016. coach hardisty was my main man at waynesburg college.  i spent many hours chatting with him, and listening to his advise on place-kicking, and every day challenges i will face as i move forward in life. he was one of my heroes. i will miss him, but think of him often. thank you coach for allowing me to get to know you.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Coach Hardisty. He was a wonderful person who I think of fondly. Condolences to John, Ann and your family.You and your father are in my prayers.

John and Ann- I am sorry to hear about your father's passing. He was one of the most likable coaches I have known. Your father was instrumental in getting me into Waynesburg College and I am forever grateful for that. He had a very kind heart and was always willing to help us athletes. May God rest his soul.

Myself (Eddie) and sister (Elaine) both have fond memories of our years in Claysville, and even though we lost touch when your family moved to Waynesburg you all will forever be in our hearts and minds. Coach Hardisty was dedicated to coaching and a great family man, with a solid faith in God.  He had amusing stories to tell about his early coaching days as well. He would also mix it up in basketball games with the students, one time getting his head cut open and bleeding. RIP Coach.

My mother and Bill were first cousins.  I have many fond memories of Bill while I was growing up, especially Thanksgivings at Uncle Earl and Aunt Grace's.  I still have his picture in his Navy uniform.

Coach was my mentor during my collegiate years at Waynesburg, teaching my as much as he could about the art and skill of punting a football.
