Betty Jean Hensley, born on October 19, 1936, in Sylva, North Carolina, passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 89. She was a resident of Waynesville, North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Maggie Gibson; her husband, Walter Joe Hensley; siblings, Janet Green, Louise Wylie, Claudel Gibson and Marshalean Ashe.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Tammie (Jack Konieczka) Parr; granddaughters, Olivia (William) Herbertson and Andria Hale; and great granddaughter, Maeby Herbertson; and several extended family members.
Jean was a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Jean will have a private burial at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
