

Waynesville-Bonnie Justice Woodard, 85, of Waynesville, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 01, 2015, at The Homestead. Bonnie was born in Haywood County on April 18, 1929, to the late Robert and Artie Spiegal Justice. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Bonnie was a member of Center Pigeon Baptist Church, of which she loved, along with her church friends. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Woodard; a sister Hattie Philbeck; five brothers, Thomas, Carl, Charles, George, and Junior Justice; and a beloved daughter-in-law, Kay Woodard. Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Evans of Waynesville; two sons, Vinson Woodard of Converse, LA and Wayne Woodard (Joan) of Flat Rock; a sister, Fannie Wells, of Canton; two brothers, Hugh and Marion Justice of Canton; four grandchildren, Cristy Ferguson, Jason, John, and Jordan Woodard; one great-grandson, Cody Ferguson; and daughter-in-law, Glenna Woodard of Atlanta, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, at Center Pigeon Baptist Church with the Reverend Allen Blanton and the Reverend Scott Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford-Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to The Homestead in care of Haywood Healthcare Foundation at 127 Sunset Ridge Road, Clyde, NC 28721 or Center Pigeon Baptist Church at 224 Center Pigeon Road, Canton, NC 28716.
