Frances Ruth Burnette

With heavy hearts we announce that Frances Ruth Burnette passed away at age 83 in her home in Waynesville, NC while surrounded by loved ones and her fur child Roxy. She was such a beautiful and caring woman who showed love to everyone she encountered. She is now rejoicing in Heaven with her husband Charlie Burnette, parents Edna & Arthur Queen, brother Gerald Queen & her fur child Baby who preceded her in death.

She leaves behind her children Lisa & Chuck, grandchildren Faith, Christian & Kendal, great-grandchildren Noelle & Korbin, nieces and nephews Susan, Tabitha & Robert, and their children and grandchildren Tina, Matt, Timber, Taya, Tristian, Eli, Jackson, Asa, Bentley, Scout, Asher & Gage.

In her life she welcomed so many with love and she became a mom figure to some but most importantly a Mamaw to many which added many family members not by blood but by love, including Tammy and her children Brayden & Kelbi, Megan & Trystan and their late son Aiden, Morgan & Corey and their boys Waylon & Karsen, Rebecca & her late husband Nate and their girls McKinley and Serenity, sisters Brittany & Mary Jane and their kids Arya, Marley, David & Amilia, as well as Calvin, Pam, Josh, Levi, Haylen, Brandon, & Richard, We all live with the comfort of knowing we will see her again and that she will forever live on in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
