Georgia Carver Carver Price

Waynesville-Georgia Carver Price, 70, went to be her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, October 13, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family. Georgia was born in Haywood County on October 5, 1947, to the late Hardy and Zola Conard Carver. Georgia enjoyed reading, but most of all she loved God, her church, and her family. In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Price; brothers, Jack, Clinton and Bill Carver; sisters, Mattie Carver, Hazel McElroy, and Betty Henson Georgia is survived by her husband of 52 years, RD Price; son Chris Price and his wife, Lucy; a daughter, Shannon Hayes and her husband, Raymond; grandchildren, Shae Freeman, Colt Ferguson, Bubba Price, and Tim Rich; great-grandchildren, Abel and Mylah Freeman; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 15, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverends Jerry Nelson, Billy Ferguson and Millard Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
