Harry "Mack" Smith

Waynesville-Harry "Mack" Smith, 79 passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021. Mack was born on August 26, 1941, to the late Henry and Mollie Rogers Smith. He enjoyed hiking, camping and all of the outdoors. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed reading. His church was of the utmost importance in his life along with his family. Mack served his country with pride in the US Navy. He retired from Service America Corporation after decades of service.

In addition to his parents, Mack was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne, Don, Vaughn, Troy and Leonard Smith; and his sister, Barbara Carver.

Mack is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sue Edwards Smith; son, Ashley Smith (Tracy); daughters, Micky Cope and Dana Smith; grandchildren, Kurt Cope, Harry and Thomas Smith; and sisters, Mary Ann Waldroup and Mildred Beecher.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 1, at Grandview Baptist Church with the Reverend Barry Willett officiating with music being provided by Dennis Ruff and the Grandview Baptist Choir. Musical selections will be provided by Mack's grandson, Kurt. Burial will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
