Waynesville, NC – Helen Caldwell Norman, age 88, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. She was born in Big Cattaloochee Valley on March 11, 1929 to the late Rueben Eldridge and Pearl Valentine Caldwell. She retired from Dayco in 1988 after 40 years of service. She had a special love of music and especially gospel music. She was very artistic and did many pieces of art. Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Hattie Caldwell Davis; brother, Ken Caldwell, Jr.; four nephews; one great nephew and one great niece. Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, November 26, 2017 in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home with the Reverend Erma Bond officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Entombment will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
