Waynesville-Jimmie Milner Haney was born on January 21, 1931, in Haywood County and passed away peacefully on April 8, 2020, at the age of 89.Jimmie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Zena Franklin; parents, Wiley Milner and Cora Lee Franklin Milner; husband, Ervin L. Haney; and infant son; brother, Kenneth Milner; and sister, Betsy Hannah.
Jimmie is survived by her children, Merita Noland (James), Terry L. Haney, and Kathy H. McConnell; and grandson, Adam Grooms, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jimmie wanted to be remembered as deeply loving her family, friends, and neighbors.
Private graveside services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2020, at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haywood County Animal Shelter.
