Katherine "Kathy" Murray Acuti passed on April 3, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born in Chicago, IL on August 8, 1953, to the late Earl and Louise Pfau Murray. Kathy enjoyed painting, playing mah jongg, canasta, game night with friends, various outings with her girlfriends and volunteering at Pathways.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl Murray and Anton Jachim; and sisters, Barbara Rehak, Margaret Mull and Ann Jachim Szott.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John P. Acuti; son, Richard Acuti and his wife, Melissa; granddaughters, Anna Acuti Hartge and Lindsey Acuti; nieces Kathy Rehak, Nancy Smith, Jennifer Rehak and Denise Benson; and nephew Tony Null.
A Private Funeral Service will be held, followed by entombment in the Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
