

Waynesville-Odis Harlen Moody, 89 gained his wings on December 8, 2020. He was the son of the late Noble Wiley Moody and Ester Wilson Moody. Odis was a kind and caring person who would do anything for you. He was of the Baptist Faith, loved the Lord and loved to serve the Lord. He was a Korean War Veteran of the US Army. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family working in his garden and his roses. He was a former employee of the Town of Waynesville and the AC Lawrence Leather Co.
In addition to his parents, Odis was preceded death by his sisters, Mildred Baggett, Cora Moody Parker, Frances Moody Watts, Maudie Moody Singleton Phillips; two brothers, Ed Wiley Moody and Frank “Pet” Moody; and one grandson, David Matthew Rose.
Odis is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margie Caldwell Moody; three daughters, Diann Moody, Mary Odis Moody Birchfield (Ronny), and Teressa Moody Nelson (Jason Cates); one son, Dennis Noble Moody; six grandchildren, Helen “Kat” Moody Harris (Wayne), Odis Lewis Hannah, Samuel Adam Birchfield (Lyndsie), Taryn Birchfield Joiner (Alex), Nekole Birchfield, Judy Rose Green; seven great-grandchildren, Eddie Dale Moody, Ryan Green, Sarah Green, Bently Green, Jaxon Beaux Joiner, Charlie Boone, and Sam Still; one brother, Ralph Moody; and lots of loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 12, at Green Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart officiating.
