Patsy Lewis Brown Patsy Lewis Brown, age 76, of Candler, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, after a 4 year battle with non-smokers lung cancer. She was born on October 10, 1946, to Lee and Catherine Dyer Lewis in Haywood County. She attended Waynesville High School and UNC-Greensboro. She worked as an Executive Assistant at Dayco-Waynesville, and for the US Government, and retired after 30 years as an Executive Assistant to the President of Mission Hospital. Patsy enjoyed Country Western Dancing, working in her flower gardens, reading, doing crossword puzzles, primitive craft shopping, spending time with her family, and her granddog, Roxie. Patsy is survived by Jerry, her loving husband of 56 years; daughter, Jennifer; sister, Jean Edwards of Clyde; brother, Johnny Lewis (Nancy) of Maggie Valley; in-laws, Rusty Brown (Rosemary) of Candler, Janice Brown of Waynesville, and Louise Fontaine of Leicester; and several nieces and nephews.
