

“Faithful Man of God” Canton-Rev. Thomas L. Kemp, 86, of Canton went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 7, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Florence AL, on December 2, 1927, to the late Jackson Alexander and Loney Bell Loveless Kemp. Rev. Kemp preached God’s word for over 54 years. He enjoyed travelling, golf, hunting, but most of all preaching the Word. In addition to his parents, Rev. Kemp was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruthie Price Kemp; a daughter, Robbie Nell McCullough; and a twin sister, Martha G. Hiett. Rev. Kemp is survived by his wife of 6 years, Norma White Kemp; a brother Harfon Kemp; son-in-law, Gary McCullough; two grandchildren, Leia and Jenna McCullough; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Maddox; his adopted family, Martha and Jack Beckman; grandchildren, Candy and Kevin Foster; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ashlynn, Kolton, Caleb, and Aaron; stepdaughter, Rita (Dwayne) Broadway; step-granddaughter, RoseAnna Broadway; two step-great-granddaughters, Hannah and Hope West; a special niece, Renee (Dan) Prescott; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church in Canton with the Pastor Mark Caldwell, Pastor Dean Clontz, and Pastor Alan Davis officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church in Canton. Memorial contributions may be made in Rev.
