Tim was a kindhearted and easy going friend with a great sense of humor.  He was talented in many ways, but my most vivid memory of him was as a wrestler in junior high.  If I recall correctly, we had an undefeated season on the line and Tim was wrestling the final match of the day and we were down by 5.  Nothing less than a pin would secure the victory for WJHS.  Lots of heavyweight wrestlers would hit the mat and literally just throw their weight around, not really displaying any depth of skill.  Not Tim.  He knew his moves and was tenacious.  It was a tightly fought match, but Tim prevailed and pinned his opponent.  That night he was the team's hero.   I moved away and lost track of Tim (along with so many other classmates) in the years since high school, but I would pray he received a hero's welcome in Heaven from the Savior last week!


I will always remember how seriously Tim took Marching Band  in 82-84 when Tuscola went to MBA in Johnson City. He and Randy had an entire marching show written for thier position on the field in 83. We were 13th in the nation. 
Tim was humble and always smiling. He was the person that would encourage me personally at times. I cant remember exactly why or what it was, but he was a comforter.  When we went to Florida I got this major sunburn and he actually brought me some lotion the next day and took the time to ask if I was ok. Lisa F. And I were facing the sun so the  band didnt face the sun. Tim would help me get the boom box going for the band bus. He would bring double A batteries. He always encouraged me. I wish it hadnt taken his death for me to remember how special he was.

I loved Tim. I'll never forget in Jr high when our substitute teacher said "Role!" (She was gonna call role). Well, Tim dropped down on the floor and rolled! Was hilarious, even tho he got in trouble. I will always think of that when I hear his name. But,  he was always such a gentleman. A sweet, gentle giant. The world lost a good man. I'll miss him and his awesome sense of humor.
