

Charles was born August 21, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Albert and Leota (nee Welch) Mueller. He is preceded in death by his sister Ann Marie Kunze. Married for 60 years to his loving wife Elizabeth Jean “Betty” (nee Compton). Charles graduated from Roosevelt High School; Saint Louis University with graduate degrees in Management and Media Communications from Webster University. Charles was an accomplished actor and director, former member of AFTRA, appearing in television commercials and industrial films. He began his career as an accountant at Pet Milk, spent many years as an accountant for the Monsanto Chemical Company and enjoyed a part-time career at Bank of America in his retirement years. Charles has lived in St. Louis, Missouri; Trenton, Michigan and Englewood, Florida. He loved theatre, music, travel and crosswords. He was a beloved performer up until the very end. Charlie and Betty were longtime members of Holy Redeemer Parish in Webster Groves, MO.
Charles is survived by his wife Elizabeth Jean “Betty” Mueller; children Kurt Charles Mueller and Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Ph.D. (Douglas) Russell and grandsons Michael and Kenneth Mueller.
SERVICE: Funeral Mass, Monday, May 4th 10:00 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish, 17 Joy Ave., Webster Groves, MO 63119. Visitation Sunday, May 3rd from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Gerber Chapel, 23 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves, MO. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Mueller-Russell Fund at Webster University.
