Elizabeth May Blagbrough

Blagbrough, Elizabeth M., passed away, March 26, 2016. Loving wife of the late Harry Blagbrough; dear mother of Harry Blagbrough Jr., Helen Kortkamp, and Alicia (Scott) Kerr; loving grandmother of Kathryn Kortkamp, Erin Kortkamp, Heather Sturgis, Asher Kerr, Sara Kerr, and Bonnie Kerr; dear great grandmother of 4.

Betty was a pioneer in the field of Art Appraising. In a career that spanned more than 50 years Betty was instrumental in the writing of the codes and ethics that regulate the appraising profession. Her passion was the American Society of Appraisers where she was the first female to hold the position of president of the local chapter, President of the National Society, then capping her career as International President of the American Society of Appraisers. Betty was a great friend to all who knew her.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM, Friday, April 1, at Gerber Chapel, 23 W. Lockwood, Webster Groves, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 until service time. Interment at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barricks, MO. The family suggest memorial donations to the A.S.P.C.A.
