

FOSTER, Elizabeth, (nee Rose) 93, of Webster Groves and Kirkwood on Sunday, July 22, 2012; beloved mother of Carolyn (Charles) Kibbons, Thomas (Carol) Foster and Geneva (Jim) Shearburn; loving grandmother of Cullen, Logan, Timothy, Tom, Michael, Jill, LeVina, John and Perry; dear great-grandmother of twenty-one; dear aunt and friend to many.
Elizabeth was a tireless advocate and mentor to the Deaf and interpreter community. She was a graduate of the Ohio School for the Deaf, class of 1939. As a member of Teamsters Local 688 she worked for 20 years at Switzers Candy until she retired in 1983. After her retirement she was able to devote even more time to her family and the deaf community. She always had a smile on her face. She was sweet and elegant. She was exceptional. A gentle mentor, mother and grandmother to all.
SERVICES: The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., Sunday July 29, 2012 at Gerber Chapel, 23 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves, MO 63119.
