Wife of Earl G. Becker and the late Rudolph F. Webber; mother of Linda Webber Gambill, Brian Webber, and Marcia Webber Welser; and stepmother of Nelda Becker, Mike Becker, Patty Becker Sullivan, and Mark Becker.
Trudy was devoted to her great, extended family most of all, and also to her church, her community, and her country. As daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, step-grandmother, and great-grandmother, she loved, entertained, and encouraged all with grace and style. She played the organ and sang in the church choir for many years, and later served on several church committees. As a volunteer she served tirelessly on the Goodwill Auxiliary and Goodwill Board of Directors. Girl Scouts from Troop 1300 will remember so many fun years singing, canoeing, camping, and learning about the out-of-doors with “Birdie”.
She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing bridge with her many friends at Algonquin Golf Club. She also played bridge with girl friends from Cleveland High School for many decades. Being out in God’s beautiful world was her greatest pleasure, whether gardening, traveling, or camping.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the Lutheran Church of Webster Gardens, 8749 Watson Road, Webster Groves, MO 63119, followed by fellowship and lunch in the fellowship hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators, P.O. Box 628200, Orlando, FL 32862 or the charity of your choice.
