“Mr. P.”, beloved teacher (Miller Academy), author, mentor, BBQ guru, cinema critic, musician, champion, soul mate, friend and husband of Susan Matthews Paynter, son of Mary Bick Paynter (and late J.William Paynter), son-in-law to Fred B. Matthews Sr.(late Shirley Matthews), uncle, nephew, cousin and brother to too many to name, passed away from complications of his very rare cancer.
Memorial Mass 11:00 AM, Friday, September 12, at Ste. Genevieve du Bois Catholic Church, 1575 N. Woodlawn Ave., Warson Woods.
Graveside services 2:30 P.M., Monday, September 15, at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks. Meet behind administration building no later than 2:15 P.M.
