Bell City - Azena A. Poole, 79. Jesus rode in to get our precious momma on a white horse on October 12, 2014 surrounded by so much love.
She had a courageous soul and fought many battles in her life. Even in her last moments she found time to tend her many sheep. She left all of us a tremendous legacy.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and various women’s groups. She made alot of friends along the way. She also was a caregiver for many people in our community. She retired after working many years at Bell City High School in their cafeteria, but the job she will be remembered most is being our sweet momma.
She is leaving behind seven of her ten children; Phyllis Andrus of Lacassine; Rosemary Poole, Julie Fruge, Lisa Reber (Harold) and Paula Broussard of Bell City; Dudley Poole, Jr. of Leesville and Tammy Martin (Albert) of Hackberry; twenty seven grandchildren and thirty four great grandchildren and sisters, Rose Granger of Hayes and Aneed Gaspard of Lacassine. She was preceded in death by her true love, Dudley Joseph Poole, Sr. and three of her precious boys, John Malcolm, Michael Glenn and Daniel Lee Poole; great grandson, Timothy Daniel Poole, parents, Philias and Marie Arceneaux and little sister, brothers, Wilson, Alexon and Eddie Arceneaux, sisters, Ida, Evalyna and Nomie.
Momma will always be thought of with great love and a true warrior. She wears her crown of glory so proudly in heaven. We will miss her terribly until the day when we all meet again.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Rev. Emmanuel Tanu will officiate.
