James Ray Ewing Jr.

Age: 76, A resident of Welsh was entrusted to God's, loving care on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Jim was a retired Superintendent for the town of Welsh. He loved gardening, cooking, working on small engines, and cutting the grass.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ruth Marie Mallet Ewing; sons, Kevin Ewing (Karyn), Welsh, Edward Fusilier (Joyce), Lake Charles, and Gene Deshotel (Tina) of Sulphur; daughters, Sherral Guidry, Welsh, Carolyn Fusilier, LeBleu- Settlement, and Gloria. Gale Hebert (Roy), of Kaplan; sister, Patricia Rave (Warren) of Lafayette. Jim is survived 13grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 nephews; and numerous friends. Jim was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Ewing; parents, James Ray Ewing, Sr. and Alise Oliver Ewing.

Visitation will commence at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until christian service time at 11:00 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel.
