Samuel "Sam" John Bonnin

Sam enjoyed wood working, gardening, cooking and spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving father and grandfather. Sam was a selfless and caring man who enjoyed helping others.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and son, Jason Bonnin.

Sam leaves behind to cherrish his memory; son, Joey Bonnin and wife Diane of Richmond, TX; daughter, Karen Bonnin of Houston, TX; Companion of five years Susan Hoychick of Eunice, LA; grandchildren, William Jones and Presley Bonnin; four brothers, Steve Bonnin and wife Rosetta of Galveston, TX, Scott Bonnin and wife Gayla of Durant, OK, Stuart Bonnin and wife Tammy of Gulf Breeze, FL, John Bonnin and wife Janet of Boerne, TX; five sisters, Susan Hinchee and husband Richard of Welsh, LA, Sarah Bingham and husband Dennis of New Iberia, LA, Sylvia deFranza and husband Brett of Suwanee, GA, Barbara whickham of Portland, OR, Dottie Miller and husband Don of Demascus, OR.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 5pm-9pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh, with a rosary to be recited at 6pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the funeral home until time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at our Lady of Seven Dolors at 11am on Monday June 18, 2018.
