Alexia Gianni left to be with the Lord on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She was born July 29, 2004 in Lamar Colorado to Martin Pompa and Esmeralda Cantu. Alexia was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and most importantly, mother of two. She was beautiful, kind hearted, outgoing, loved life but most importantly loved her children with all her heart. Ms. Alexia is survived by her parents: Martin & Maria de la Luz Pompa, Esmeralda Cantu; two children: Mateo G. Maldonado & Kehlani G. Maldonado; one brother, Felix A. Garcia; two sisters: Kassandra (Aisha) Pompa, Mila S. Pompa; one niece, Violet R. Delgadillo; paternal grandparents: Isaias & Veronica Pompa; four uncles: Marcos (Linda), Jose I (Gloria), Ruben R. (Shawn) Pompa; one aunt, Veronica (Roberto) Valdez and numerous cousins. She is now reunited with her maternal grandparents: Arturo and Fortunata Cantu, who have preceded her in death. Having the honor of serving as pallbearers: Lorenzo Pompa, Roberto C Valdez, Felix Garcia, Hector Valdez, Joe Pompa and Ruben Pompa. Family will receive friends starting Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 12 pm until Monday, March 4, 2024 at 12 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
