Betty was a woman who embraced life with energy, style, and a deep love for the simple joys that made each day special. She found great happiness in reading, collecting coins and antique banks, and spending time doing the things she loved most—traveling, shopping, dancing, and enjoying a bit of excitement at the casino. Known by many as the “ultimate mover,” Betty lived life on her own terms, always on the go and full of spirit.
She cherished her mornings, especially those spent over breakfast with dear friends, sharing laughter and conversation. Betty also took great pride in her appearance; she was rarely seen without her hair perfectly styled and dressed in clothes that reflected her vibrant personality.
Above all, Betty loved her family. She is survived by her children, Jeanne Diamond, Teresa Clem, and John McCoy; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her legacy of love, strength, and independence will live on through each of them.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Aurora House in Weslaco in Betty’s memory.
An intimate graveside service will be held with family on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Zybach Cemetery in Allison, Wheeler County, Texas.
Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.
