Carlos Mendez Jr. was a well known Game Fowl breeder in the U.S. and Mexico. Carlos was passionate about his sport and was often described as the best in the business. He often traveled to different ranches in Mexico to offer his opinion on their brood stock. He had an eye like no other.
Carlos was also a passionate fisherman, who loved to BBQ and spend quality time with his friends and family. When it came to fishing, he enjoyed finding any body of water and having a good time. Carlos' children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren were all owners of his big heart. He had a heart of gold like no other for his family.
Carlos will be missed dearly by everyone who crossed his path, but most importantly by his loved ones.
In the end, as Carlos would say, "Es parte del show."
Carlos is survived by his wife, Ramona Garcia; daughter Martha Lara; daughter Norma Mendez; son Marcos Mendez; son Carlos Mendez; son Jose Salvador Mendez; step-daughter Angelica Hernandez; and step-son Julian Garcia; sister Alicia Mendez Galvan; grandson Nicholas Garza, grandson Christopher Garza, grandaughter Jozlyn Lara, grandson Joseph Lara, grandson Josiah Rivas, grandson Carlos Umanzor Jr., grandson Matthew Umanzor, grandson Samuel Umanzor, grandson Gabriel Mendez, grandaughter Kamille Mendez, grandson Anthony "Chorre" Hernandez, grandson Noah Alexander Masias, grandaughter Isla Sofia Torres, grandaughter Alyvia Rose Torres, uncle Salvador Mendez and Nieces and Nephews.
Carlos was preceded in death by father Carlos Vaca Sr. and mother Manuela Vaca; brother-in-law Carlos Galvan Jr..
A Public Visitation for Carlos will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home located at 6705 N FM 88 in Weslaco, Texas. A cremation will be held at a later date.
