Elida Cantu, age 64, left to be with the Lord on Monday, September 23, 2024 at her residence in Weslaco. She was born on June 7, 1960 to Raul Muñoz and Elida Garcia in Rio Grande City, Texas. Elida was known for her sense of humor, always happy, everyone's favorite tia. She enjoyed listening to heavy metal music and crocheting but most importantly, she her heart was the most full when she spent time with family. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Baldemar Cantu, Elizabeth Thomas; grandchildren: Baldemar Cantu III, Natalie Cantu, John Michael Thomas, Anthony Raul Thomas, Elizabeth Garces, Evelyn Garces; great-grandchildren: Milani Rios and Niklaus Rios. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved mother, Elida G Munoz. She is now reunited with her daughter, Susanna Cantu who has preceded her in death.
