She was born on August 28th, 1939, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to Santos and Guadalupe Garza.
Ermila was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She loved sewing, tending to her garden, and sharing laughter with those around her. Her kindness and strength touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Diana Sepeda, Nestor Leon Salazar III (Aurora), Adelaida Garza (Ruben), Adriana Rios (Jose), Jessie Jennifer Salazar; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nestor Leon Salazar II, and her parents.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 9th, 2026 from 2:00pm – 10:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Highland, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ The King Catholic Church, followed by burial at Highland Memorial Park at 2pm.
