Gregorio M Madrigal

He was born May 14th, 1930 in Cuero, Texas to his parents Eligió and Dorotea Madrigal.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eva Moreno Madrigal, parents, 1 brother, and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his son, Rogelio Madrigal (Elena) of Weslaco, Texas; 2 daughters, Yasmina Madrigal of Elsa, Texas and Eva Madrigal of Harlingen, Texas; 2 sisters, Hortencia Garza, Irma Montalvo, 1 brother, Eligió Madrigal Jr.; 9 grandchildren, Melissa Pratt, Janisse J. Perez, Gina L. Pina, Michael R. Madrigal, Bridgette R. Ochoa, Kirby O. Ochoa, Tomas Garcia II, Roger Madrigal, Nubia Madrigal; 9 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eligió Madrigal III, Roger Madrigal, Ray Casas, Cesar Cantu, and Javier Garza.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael R. Madrigal of Austin, Texas, Tomas Garcia II of Arkansas and Landon E. Luna of Elsa, Texas.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Leticia Valdez for her support and prayers during our difficult time.

Mr. Madrigal was a great community leader in Elsa, Texas. He served as Mayor from 1993-2002 and was a commissioner for the City of Elsa. He was Chief of the Elsa Fire Department and a School Board member for the Edcouch-Elsa School District. He was also an active usher and member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. His family and community will miss him dearly.

Visitation Services will be held Monday, July 27, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Rosary at Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home located at 6705 N FM 88 in Weslaco, Texas. A Chapel Service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 10:00 am followed with the Interment at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.
