Jaime Garza

Jaime is survived by his spouse of 28 years, Gloria Garza; his children, Daniel Huerta, Jessica (Omar) Segovia, Yvonne (Rene) Roman, Jaime (Sandy) Garza Jr., and Marco (Rebecca) Garza; and 14 grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. Jaime is also survived by his sibling, Ricardo Garza, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jaime was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Rosalva Garza; his siblings, Sergio Garza, Francisco Garza Jr., Blanca Martinez, and Sandra Garza; and his son, Felipe Huerta Jr.

For many years, Jaime served as a TASO basketball referee. He also dedicated his time to coaching a youth football league and worked as a baseball umpire. He enjoyed sports and was truly family oriented, finding his greatest happiness in time spent with his loved ones—especially his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Highland, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, TX 78599, on March 5, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm. A Prayer Service will be held at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco, TX 78599, on March 5, 2026, at 7:00 pm. A Chapel Service will be held at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco, TX 78599, on March 6, 2026, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, TX 78599, on March 6, 2026, at 11:00 am.
