Lauro Angel Najera Villegas, 91, left to be with the Lord on January 18, 2023 at Aurora House in Weslaco. He was born October 2, 1931 to Lauro Najera and Magdalena Villegas in Mexico. He is now reunited with his wife, Josefina Garcia de Najera, who has preceded him in death.
Lauro was a very hardworking, devoted family man. He loved life on the ranch, milking the cows and tending to his chickens and sheep.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children: Humberto Najera, Salvador Najera, Gerardo Najera, Lauro Angel Najera, Dora Alicia Najera, Maribel Najera; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Friday, January 20, 2023 from 3 pm to midnight with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna, Texas at 10 am, Saturday, January 21, 2023. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.
