Lucia Amelia Cervantes Alvarado, age 10 days, of Mercedes, Texas passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Lucia was born August 19, 2021 in Austin, TX to Alejandra Marisol Lazo and Rene Alejandro Cervantes.

Lucia is survived by her father Rene Alejandro Cervantes and her mother Alejandra Marisol Alvarado Lazo; her sister Olga Marie Cervantes, her sister Sofia Xitlalic Cervantes and her brother Eber Alejandro Alvarado; her paternal grandmother Olga Cervantes De La Cruz, her paternal grandfather Rosendo Cervantes Zambrano, her maternal grandmother Maria Lazo Raya and her maternal grandfather Marcos Alvarado.

A visitation for Lucia will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Highland, Weslaco, TX 78596. A chapel service will occur Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, Weslaco, TX 78596. An interment will occur Friday, September 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
