Pedro Gonzales

Pedro enjoyed sitting on his porch listening to music and playing the guitar. He enjoyed BBQing with his family, hunting, fishing and reminiscing about the good old days. Pedro loved hunting with his dogs and caring for his horses and all his farm animals. He was a man who knew no limits when it came to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Sigifredo (Sandra) Gonzalez, Margarita (Efrain) Alvarado, Famelisa (Reynaldo) Contreras, Beatriz Gonzalez, Maria Yolanda (Robert) Gonzalez, Adolfo (Anabel) Gonzalez, Marisol (Francisco) Castillo, 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six sisters: Antonia Hernandez, Tomasa (Arnulfo) Sustaita, Martina (Rudy) LLamas, San Juana Gonzales, Rebecca (Enrique) Salinas and Rosalinda (Ralph) Dorsett.

Pedro is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Mireles Gonzales, his parents Adolfo & Antonia R. Gonzales and his sister Maria de la Luz Vallejo.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren: Daniel Gonzalez, Ricardo Ortiz III, Aurelio Gonzalez, Efrain Alvarado Jr, Robert A. Gonzalez and Andrew Gonzalez.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM both evenings at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
