Raul V Rivera, age 77, of Weslaco, Texas left to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born on April 2, 1947 in Weslaco, Texas. Raul was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was dedicated to his children and family as a whole, was always greeted with big hugs and was lovingly known by all who loved him as "Tio Raul". Above all Raul was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Irma Rivera; children: Felix Camacho, Raul V Rivera Jr, Santos (Daniel Reza) Rivera and Illiana Yvonne Rivera. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Alex Valdez, Novalie Rocha, Sophia Rae Morales and Noah Rubio. Survivors also include Raul G (+Juanita) Rivera, +Matias (+Elfida) V Sanchez, Catalina (+Ezequiel) R Saenz, +Santos (+Hector) R Saenz, Hortencia (+Calixtro) R Cuellar, Amelia Rivera, Guadalupe (Lupita) V Rivera, Francisco (Cindy) V Rivera, +Juan Jose (Martha) V Rivera and Hilda (Margarito) R Moreno. Family will receive friends Monday, July 29, 2024 from 12 pm to 9 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral service will be celebrated at 10 am, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery in Weslaco.
