Valentin Perez Jr., 78, left to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at his residence in Elsa. He was born on November 30, 1945 in Elsa, Texas. Valentin Perez Jr was the owner of Perez Plumbing for over 50 years and honorably served his community as a volunteer firefighter of the City of Elsa for over 36 years. He also was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Valentin loved his wife and daughters more than life and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his favorite people. He is now reunited with his parents: Valentin Perez Sr and Elodia Perez who have preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life of 56 years, Maria Petra Perez and their daughters: Sylvia (Carlos) M Cisneros, Sally M. Perez and Sandra (Eddie) M. Huape. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Adria, AJ, Alysha, Anna, Jonathan, Marko, Edy Nikole, Raphael, Robby, Karlyne and ten great-grandchildren. Survivors also include his siblings: Ida (+Victor) Flores, Eloy (+Gloria) Perez, Robert (Connie) Perez, Dalia (+Lupe) Flores, Maria Elena (+Juan) Rodriguez, Oscar (Maria Elena) Perez, three brother-in-laws and three sister-in-laws. Having the honor of serving as pallbearers are: AJ Reyes, Jonathan Garza, Marko Huape, Raphael Huape, Roberto Huape, Roger Garcia; honorary pallbearers are: Carlos Cisneros, Eddie Huape, Leonel Rangel, Rolando Ramirez, Kevin Faught along with Adria, Alysha, Anna, Nikole, Karlyne, Stephanie and Jacky. Family will receive friends Monday, August 19, 2024 from 1 pm to 10 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Cremation services at Heavenly Grace Crematory in La Feria will be held privately.
